On Monday 7 February we had a day of piano concerts where we welcomed blind autistic jazz pianist Derek Paravicini and Professor Adam Ockelford.

Our learners greatly enjoyed dancing, singing, playing instruments and listening to the wonderful music.

Derek Paravicini has been blind from birth, he is also autistic and has severe learning difficulties, yet he can play almost any piece by ear and is one of the most extraordinary pianists and musicians of his generation. Explore his YouTube channel to find out more about Derek's incredible journey and musical abilities, and to hear his truly unique stylistic interpretations.

Thank you to our ongoing partners Music for Autism whose fundraising helped fund the concerts for our learners.
